DESCRIPTION: A penetrating, water repellent, oily
primer offering preventive protection against fungi and insects,
for interior and exterior use, either clear or coloured. Suitable
for exterior panels, garden furniture, windows, sandpits, box
framing (before installation). Suitable for hardwood and softwoods,
whether rough-sawn or dressed. For outdoor use, the primed timber
must be sealed when dry with a coloured Bio Wood Varnish.
PREPARATION: Do not apply coatings to unseasoned or
wet timber. Wood should be well sanded, dry and cleaned of greasy,
waxy and dirty contaminants using BIO Thinner. Round off sharp
edges. It is also good practice to prime back surfaces.
Hardwoods and timbers rich in natural oils, waxes, acids and
terpenes should be degreased using Bio Thinner, because these
substances may mix with the varnish and prolong its drying time.
Let dry for 24 hours. Imperfect coats may require complete
stripping before applying BIO Products.
APPLICATION: Stir thoroughly before use with a
broad flat stirrer before use. May be brushed, dipped or sprayed.
Brush thinly and evenly with a wide brush, working wood primer well
into the grain. For very absorbent surfaces apply a second coat
within the space of 12 to 24 hours, making sure that the wood is
saturated. Low temperature and humid conditions prolong the drying
time. Do not paint below +10C and or above 80% humidity, in cold
damp conditions, when condensation, rain, dew or frost are
likely to occur or hot days, direct sunlight and hot
surfaces. Provide adequate ventilation during application and
drying.
INGREDIENTS: Based on Plant oils, resins, essential
oils, lead free drying agents.
CLEANING: Use Bio Thinner.
COVERAGE: 1 Litre covers approx. 7-10 sqm.,
depending on the absorbency of the wood.
PACKAGING: 1 and 4 Litres.
PRECAUTION: Keep away from open flames and out of
the reach of children. Please dispose of used rags in a sealed
metal container. Can spontaneously combust.
STORAGE: Keep tightly sealed in a cool and dry
place. Surface skin may develop in opened cans.
PAINT DISPOSAL: Do not pour left over paint down
the drain. Unwanted paint should be brushed out on newspaper,
allowed to dry and then disposed of via domestic waste collection.
Let empty container dry out as well and dispose via recycling
program.
