Wool
For centuries wool has been used to control the extremes of
temperature and in fact has been used as insulation in Europe since
the eighteenth century. Wools intricate structure allows it to
breathe and trap air, giving higher thermal and acoustic ratings
over other insulators. When you install natural New Wool (Fire
Retarded) insulation you can be confident of receiving a high
quality, effective insulation that is fully tested and carries a
life time guarantee.
Product Description: Higgins New Wool Batts (Fire Retarded) are
manufactured from natural wool fibre and treated with Disodium
Octaborate to provide a fire retardant and insect proofing, in
accordance with BS 5803.4
Polyester
Our polyester batts are made from regenerated polyester, which
is comprised of long chains of synthetic carbon polymers. Polyester
batts are a lightweight cost effective insulation material which is
safe and effective to use.
Suitable for varied Australian conditions and a lifetime of
service, there is a range of Polyester Batts to achieve a stand
alone "R" Value to
meet the requirements as set down by the Australian Standard AS3999
while still being competitively priced. The safety of polyester as
a building material is evidenced by the wide range of fields such
as medical, food storage and presentation, apparel and bedding, and
of course the insulation industry.
