DESCRIPTION
Ready to use Decking Oil for regular care and maintenance of
hard- and softwood timber decks, hand rails, pergolas, garden
furniture and other exterior timber surfaces. VOLVOX Timber Deck
Care is based on high grade cold pressed flax seed oil with deep
impregnating effect. Retaining vapour permeability of wood, VOLVOX
Timber Deck Care prevents the building up of vapour pressure in
Australian hardwood. Flaking or peeling is not possible. VOLVOX
Timber Deck Care has been formulated to withstand the damaging
effects of ultraviolet radiation. VOLVOX Timber Deck Care is a
transparent, wood grain enhancing, and wear and tear resistant
natural oil impregnation, recommended for traffic exposed exterior
timber decks.
ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTH FEATURES
VOLVOX Timber Deck Care is made from natural and non-toxic raw
materials. Solvent and VOC free. Manufacturing process ensures
ecological sustainability and avoids water pollution. The product
will not charge electro static energy. When used according to
manufacturer’s direction, the product is harmless to human and the
environment.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Provide a clean, dry, firm and grease free surface. Timber
should be in good physical shape. Old wood should be sanded in
order to remove dead wood particles.
APPLICATION
Stir well. Apply one coat of VOLVOX Timber Deck Care using an
oil broom, floor applicator or a soft paint brush. After 30 minutes
saturation time remove all oil from the surface with a lint free
cloth. This is to prevent tacky and glossy spots. Let dry for 12
hours.
Do not apply in temperatures below 10°C or above 30°C.
VARIATION OF USES:
DRYING
Depending on temperature and humidity, dry after 24 hours.
CLEAN UP
For cleaning tools use VOLVOX Iso-paraffin Thinner or plenty of
soapy water.
PACKAGING AND COVERAGE Depending on absorption of wood, 1
litre will cover 10-20 m2 per coat.

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE
Store tightly sealed in a cool and dry place. Minimum shelf
life for unopened and properly stored cans is 24 months.
INGREDIENTS
Highest Grade, organically grown, cold pressed Flax Seed Oil,
Pigments, Lead-free Dryers (Zircon, Cobalt Octoat), Essential
Oils.
SAFETY
Always work in a well-ventilated area. Working rags and other
fabrics soaked with oil may self- ignite. Let dry safely outdoors
on a cloth line or store in a sealed metal container. The product
by itself will not self-ignite.
Even if non-toxic, keep away from children.
DISPOSAL
Allow unwanted paint to dry. Solid matter should be disposed of
via the normal garbage collection service.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
Check Volvox Timber Deck Care treated surfaces from time to
time and clean as necessary. If water repels, that’s an indication
that the surface is intact, if it doesn’t it is time to apply
another coat. Clean surface and proceed as above.
