DESCRIPTION: VOLVOX ProAqua White Enamel is an
opaque, water based, oil and acrylic-free, satin paint for interior
or exterior metal or wood surfaces. Free from chemical solvents
(VOC free) it is manufactured from natural raw materials that have
minimal impact on the environment. Great for doors, window frames,
furniture, shelving, skirting boards, fascia boards, cladding,
garden furniture and other smooth planed wood. VOLVOX ProAqua
White Enamel can also be used on rough sawn timber, but usage
rates will be higher and durability may be affected. It is not
recommended for floors or other heavy-duty surfaces.
VOLVOX ProAqua White Enamel has also an unlimited choice of
creating pastel colours as it can be used as a base for most paint
tints or pigments. For deeper colours use Volvox ProAqua Enamel
Clear.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Remove dirt, grease, oil and loose,
peeling and flaking material. Sand the surface smooth and remove
all dust. Good sanding and a test application is recommended when
painting over firm glossy or semi-gloss paint. On bare wood, no
priming is needed. Metals must be primed with a coat of rust
prevention paint.
APPLICATION: Stir well. Reduce the first coat with 5-10 %
water. Apply evenly and sparingly. A light sanding is advisable
after the first coat has dried (grain size 180 – 240). Thereafter
apply one to two undiluted coats. VOLVOX ProAqua White
Enamel can be applied by brush, roller or spray gun. Do not
paint in temperatures below 8°C or above 30°C, immediately after
rain, fog or frost or when these conditions are forecast.
COVERAGE: Depending on the pigmentation and the surface
properties, 0.75 litre will cover 10 to 12 square metre. 2.5 litre
will cover 35 to 40 square metres. Average use is 70-90 millilitres
per square metre.
DRYING: Depending on room Temperature and relative
humidity, the product will be normally touch dry after 15-30
minutes and ready for sanding after 45 minutes. The surface can be
painted over after about 2 hours.
CLEAN UP: With water, away from drains.
SAFETY: Make sure that the rooms are thoroughly
ventilated during and after work. Even if nontoxic, keep painting
materials out of the reach of children.
STORAGE: Store containers tightly sealed in a cool but
frost-free place. Shelf life: 2 years.
DISPOSAL: Allow unwanted paint to dry. Solid matter can
be disposed of via the normal garbage collection service.
INGREDIENTS: Water, earth pigments, mineral filling
material, vinegar ester, titanium dioxide, preservatives.
MAINTENANCE: As with all exterior wood finishes, when
using the product outside, it is wise to inspect the surface
annually and rectify any small problems with a further application
to prolong the life of the wood.
