How to use GRAVA Wall Primer
Sealer No. 408
General surface requirements: The surface must be dry,
able to absorb and bear load, neutral, clean and free of
separation agents, cracks, efflorescences and fungi.
Preparation: Close holes and cracks with VEDO Wall Filler
No. 440. Construction cracks must be repaired with a crack bridging
repair system. The following summary contains information on
pre-treatment for various surfaces, and when to use GRAVA Wall

Application: Stir concentrate well. Test applications!
Depending on absorbency of the surface, dilute with 1-2 parts
slightly warm water. Add water gradually while stirring. For highly
absorbent surfaces such as clay, or lime plaster, use undiluted
GRAVA Wall Primer Sealer No. 408, or slightly diluted with water
(20 %).
Important tips: For surface preparation before
wallpapering, apply a mixture of ready to use LAVO Natural
Wallpaper Paste No. 535 and GRAVA Wall Primer Sealer No. 408
diluted with 20 % of water at a ratio of 1:1. Nicotine or water
spots can be blocked out with REMIO Natural Stain Blocking
Primer No. 618, chip-board, ply-wood, OSB-board, or material
containing penetrating substances, need to be primed with Natural
Stain Blocking Primer No. 618. When REMIO is used, it is not
necessary to prime with GRAVA. In case of salt bleeding, a
professional must be called in to specify and correct the problem
before wall sealing can start. Possible separation of the product
does not impair the technical quality.
