dust. For windows and other dimensionally stable timbers, moisture
content for coniferous wood or deciduous tropical wood should be
below 15% and not exceed 12 % in native deciduous woods. Pre-treat
resin rich woods by brushing with SVALOS Thinner No. 222 and exotic
woods with KIROS Thinner No. 710, then rub dry.
APPLICATION: Prime with ADAO External Primer No.
259 or BIO Wood Primer Exterior. Unabsorbed oil is to be removed
after 20 minutes. Sand before proceeding. Apply two thin coats of
KALDET All Weather Stain No. 281 within the space of four weeks. A
third coat should be applied to weather exposed areas. The second
application should have the final coat appearance, "runs" indicate
that the application was too heavy. After 10 - 30 minutes, smooth
the painted surface with a brush in the direction of the wood
grain. Please, pay attention to the drying times!
DISPOSAL: According to locally regulated laws.
IMPORTANT TIPS: Stir thoroughly before using.
Always pre-test. When purchasing more than one container of colored
wood stain, be sure all containers have the same batch number. Skim
off eventual film before using. Ensure proper ventilation during
application and drying.
With oak or other woods containing incompatibilities such as
tannic acid or dyes, or with sanded, stripped, pre-treated, or
stained wood surfaces, discoloration is possible within one week.
After priming, seams of new windows should be treated only once
with a very thin coat of KALDET All Weather Stain No. 281. Silicone
sealant should be applied only after complete drying and should not
be painted over with KALDET All Weather Stain No.281. Linseed- oil
based putty can be painted over after one day.
When mixing different colors of KALDET, always apply a test coat
as some blends may experience pigment separation.
