VOLVOX Hard Oil - Interior

DESCRIPTION:
Ready to use VOLVOX Hard Oil is a transparent, highly wear and tear resistant natural oil impregnation for traffic exposed interior surfaces. Clear on stone, wood grain enhancing (honey colour) on timber. DIN 53 160 certified for colour fastness when exposed to perspiration and saliva. DIN EN 71 Part 3 certified as suitable for toys.

Note: Light coloured hardwood can react to the oil resulting in stains and light shades on the timber. Other hardwoods, especially Australian gum, can reject the oil.  Use VOLVOX Hard Oil Wax Finish instead.

ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTH FEATURES:
VOLVOX Hard Oil is made from natural and non-toxic raw materials. Manufacturing process ensures ecological sustainability and avoids water pollution. The product will not charge electro static energy. When used according to manufacturer’s direction, the product can be considered as harmless to human and the environment.

SURFACE PREPARATION:
Provide a clean, dry, firm and grease free surface. Timber should be in good physical shape, absorbent and sanded to 240 – 320 grid. Oil-, resin- and tannin-rich wood should be cleaned using appropriate methods.

APPLICATION:
Stir well and apply the first coat to saturate the wood, cork or stone. Use paint brush, foam roller or floor applicator. After 15 – 30 minutes saturation time remove all oil from the surface with a lint free cloth. This is to prevent tacky and glossy spots. Let dry for 24 hours, then sand slightly. Follow procedure above to apply second and third coat. When dry, surface can be finished with VOLVOX Wax. Do not apply in temperatures below 10°C or above 30°C.

VARIATION OF USES:

DRYING AND RECOATING:
Depending on temperature and humidity, dry to repel dust in 3 hours, touch dry after 4-6 hours, dry to sand and repaint after 24 hours.

Note: Estimate drying time by test application on cork.

CLEAN UP:
For cleaning tools use VOLVOX Iso-paraffin thinner.

COVERAGE:
1 litre will cover 20-50 m² per coat.

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE:
Store tightly sealed in a cool and dry place. Minimum shelf life for unopened and properly stored cans is 24 months.
