VOLVOX Floor Oil High Solid - Interior/Exterior

Brief Description: Volvox Floor Oil High Solid is an extremely hard-wearing, solvent-free substance for the treatment of wood. It is made from various boiled oils and different sorts of wax with a solids content proportion of >95 % and is especially suitable for mechanical treatment. The surface is enriched in colour and dries to a semi gloss finish. Volvox Floor Oil High Solid is extremely economical in its consumption.

Coverage: Approximately 20 ml per square metre or ca. 50 m² per litre.

Colour: Clear.

Drying Time: Depending on temperature and relative humidity: touch dry after about 2 hours, ready for sanding down after about 24 hours, fully hardened after about a week.

Uses: For the treatment of floors, stairs, worktops and the like of wood and cork.

Properties: Volvox Floor Oil High Solid is water-repellent and moisture regulating. It does not cause electrostatic charge and is quick-drying when applied mechanically.

Preparation: The surface should be clean, grease-free, absorbent and dry. The wood should be sanded smooth. If the surface is highly absorbent (e. g. cork, beech or similar) it is advisable to first apply Volvox Hard Oil as a primer.

Application: Stir well before use. Apply the product using a scraper. After that burnish it in mechanically at once. Any excess oil must be removed immediately. Instead of applying the product using a scraper you may also put small quantities of it on the floor and immediately burnish it in mechanically. If after this treatment the surface gives no uniform impression you should repeat it after 6 - 24 hours depending on the drying time (a light sanding is advisable between each coat). Any excess must be removed. As a final treatment you can apply – after another 24 hours’ drying time – a layer of Volvox Wax Finish and, when dry, polish it.

VARIATION OF USES:

Note: Oiled and waxed surfaces that are cleaned with micro fibre cloths need an increased maintenance and must be re-treated more often if necessary.

Note: For the cleaning and the maintenance the Volvox Floor Maintenance Set is particularly suitable.

Tools: Polishing machine, pad, scraper etc. Clean the tools with Volvox Isoparaffin immediately after use.

Storage: Keep containers tightly sealed and store in a cool but frost-free place. When a container is opened and the product partially used-up, fill the rest into a smaller container in order to avoid flocculation. Keep it tightly sealed.

Ingredients: Linseed oil, linseed stand oil, tung oil, hardened calcareous resin, boiled tung oil, lead-free drying agents, silicic acid, beeswax, candellila wax, isoparaffin, anti-skinning-agent.

Safety: Even if non-poisonous, keep out of the reach of children. Product is flammable. Do not smoke whilst working and do not use an unshielded flame. During and after work ensure a good ventilation of the rooms. Rags soaked with the product are self-combustible and must be disposed in a sealed metal container or spread out to dry.

Disposal: Allow unused floor oil to dry; then it can be disposed by the normal waste disposal.
